New Ulm - A crowd of over 300 attended a special performance at the State Street

Theater from Ian Kimmel and The Heard in celebrationof the release of their new

album "Nothing to Say, Nothing to Tell".

The album contains 10 original songs written by Kimmel. The recording of the album began a year ago during his winter break from school. Several songs on the album had been written by Kimmel years ago. "Once The Heard came together, it gave me the ability to record these songs," said Kimmel "and its been a lot of fun."

In addition to Kimmel, the Heard includes members Sam Kalisch, Ben Ehrlich, Max Etling, and Uriah Nibbe.

The album release concert opened with a performance from DD & Rosco. Kimmel's father, Minnesota Music Hall of Fame member Dick Kimmel, also joined his son on stage. Ian Kimmel stated he learned everything he knew about music from his father before the two gave a live rendition of Dick Kimmel's song "Homeless and Heartbroken."

"Nothing to Say, Nothing to Tell" will be released on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and other musical outlets this month. "Ava", the single for Kimmel's album, is already released on these outlets and available now for streaming or purchase.

Kimmel stated the band is planning on doing a nationwide tour to promote the album during Kimmel's summer break from attending the music program at East Tennessee State University.
